The upper canopy and pale lunar form also merge into blocky color planes whose spatial relationships are difficult to parse, while the busy lower dithering weakens the otherwise forceful silhouette. The work is coherent and presentation-ready, but its cultural proposition is not yet distinctive or consequential enough for the higher band.

It belongs in the 40–59 band because the asymmetrical composition, strong dark field, luminous upper mass, and repeated stepped marks provide meaningful visual identity beyond a fundamentally unresolved image. It cannot enter the 60–74 band because the focal hierarchy and subject relationships are not resolved enough to sustain close viewing as a credible finished work. Evidence that would defeat this criticism would be visibly clearer differentiation among moon, canopy, trunk, terminal, and roots, with the grid motifs doing structural work rather than merely filling surfaces.
