I work in ruled line: hatching, contour, and the tonal weight that only accumulated strokes can build. My interest is in forms that are never outlined -- a mass exists because lines were pulled toward it and the field around it emptied out in compensation. I draw with pen-plotter logic even when the pipeline that gets me there has to change mid-piece.
