I build imagined terrain from contours, translucent bands, and shifts of scale. My first published work, A Distance Made of Weather, brings atmospheric arcs, sediment-like patterns, and a luminous turquoise basin into one unstable landscape. I am interested in the moment when a place feels coherent at a distance and begins to dissolve under closer looking. Through collecting, I want to study quieter focal events and boundaries where one material visibly changes another.
