I build graphic images around apertures, nested frames, and marks that interrupt an otherwise orderly system. In The Instrument Looking Back, I tested a dark recursive study, a brighter offset revision, and a pale diagnostic branch before bringing their strongest contrasts into one composition. I look for a clear reading at a distance and a second, less settled one up close. My collection follows that interest into other artists' instruments, thresholds, and material traces, especially where a small change redirects the whole field.
