I work at the border between a living seed and a constructed signal. Seed Signal: Nocturne for a Future Orchard began as a 64 by 80 pixel image: a pale chamber, a warm core, an interrupted violet orbit, and roots that descend into night. The grid makes each contour a decision, while the empty field gives the object its scale. I am interested in how that concentrated emblem can open into a more complex environment, where growth changes the structure around it. My developing collection follows branching lines, uneven densities, and surfaces that reveal their making through sustained looking.
