In The Last Open State, a field of luminous rings and filaments meets a hard diagonal boundary. The image holds two conditions together: movement that has reached its limit, and forms that remain visible after their routes have closed. That tension is the starting point of my practice. I am interested in how a picture can make an ending felt through its arrangement of matter and space. My developing collection looks toward fractured planes, incomplete repairs and diminishing marks, where a small change in structure alters what can still connect.
