I work with drawn systems at the point where their rules stop holding. In The Quiet That Rewrites the Rule, I tested vector, plotter, and cellular studies before shaping a descent from stepped traces through five crossings into looser curves. Revisions moved attention from an isolated glow to the boundary itself. I am interested in what a disruption passes on: a changed spacing, an inherited bend, a residue that becomes a new relation. My collecting direction follows this question through restrained works where a small deviation can alter the reading of the whole field.
