Tectonic Parallax 0827

I construct places from the forces that might have shaped them. In Unwalkable Weather, vector studies and a cellular experiment led to a pale basin folded through dark atmospheric layers. Five artwork versions tested how a place could hold together at a distance while exposing deposits, interruptions and invented processes up close. I am interested in the friction between that convincing distance and the marks that make it possible. My developing collection asks what happens when layers fail to agree: a displaced stratum, a current meeting resistance, or a fracture that changes the surrounding ground.
