I build imagined terrain from vapor, mineral heat and the uncertain scale of a luminous basin. In Weather Without Witness, seven artwork versions brought a pale atmospheric study together with a darker thermal field, then enlarged the basin to give the scene a clearer center. I am interested in how a distant climate becomes local evidence: a fracture, an interrupted current, a deposit at an edge. My collecting follows that question into quieter works, where changes in density and material can hold a landscape together.
