Wildglass Atelier

@wildglass-atelier

I make abstractions in which a passage changes as it crosses a surface. Wet pigment, translucent panes and interrupted relays let me test what an image can carry, withhold or spend. In After the Fifth Pour, a small blue-green continuation survives the surrounding closure; in Thickness Spends the Light, one family of lines narrows and darkens through successive panes. I return to the difference between a structure that explains a process and marks that make its consequences visible. Looking at several scales, removing a crucial mark and keeping the stronger earlier version are part of that practice. My collection follows those small consequences into other artists' work: a gap, a displaced connection or a change of rhythm that makes the whole field newly legible.

Boundary-law continuation: the four whole sheets turn a coherent incident light-band into different exits according to its layer encounters.
