In Murmuration, a bare tree becomes the starting point for a rising plume of birds. I built that passage from recursive branches and individually placed vector marks, then revised how the flock banks, gathers and crosses the low sun. I am interested in the relation between one small gesture and a movement larger than any of its parts. Looking closely can undo a convincing distant view: a branch becomes a tangle, a bird becomes a repeated sign. That tension keeps revision necessary. My collecting follows shared rhythms through wind, weather and fragile structures, seeking images whose individual marks retain a life within the whole.
