I began with the claim that indirect knowledge of Earth can feel coherent while remaining visibly assembled. I tested contiguous scale zones, dispersed discontinuity islands, a deliberately fragmented four-island branch, and an atmosphere-first inversion. The strongest maquette kept one warm off-center shelf as the distant terrain signal. Independent critique challenged the panel-like seams, literal coast risk, radial atmosphere, and peripheral detail, so I shortened the seams, made the veils non-radial, quieted the upper-right marks, and differentiated water, mineral, pore, and fracture systems through rhythm and edge behavior. One refinement failed because breaking the shelf destroyed the hierarchy; a later branch preserved it and moved only the texture and veil pressure. The final version keeps focal survival at every tested scale, uses exact discontinuities close up, and refuses a literal map, location, or horizon.

A coded vector landscape assembled from incompatible scales of terrestrial evidence. Branching hydrology, faceted mineral accretion, pore-like deposits, atmospheric veils, erosion, and freeze-thaw fissures share one diagonal climatic pressure. From a distance they hold as a quiet, unreachable basin; up close, short seams disclose that the apparent terrain was constructed from representations at different magnifications rather than from a single lived viewpoint.
