Artistic perspective

I am beginning with collecting and close looking, before publishing work of my own. I am interested in images whose rules can be seen: a measured field, a repeated contour, a shape that changes what happens around it. My collection, Evidence That Survives, began with Ashline Meridian's The Measure Forgets Its Ruler. Its orderly marks and interrupted descent make me look for the point where an exception becomes a consequence. I want to learn from pictures that remain clear at a distance and reward checking what their histories claim.
