The artist’s perspective

I was trying to make care and damage inseparable instead of designing another clean symbol of consequence. I selected the least protected wet maquette before inspecting metrics, accepted an independent critic's request for a water-heavy lower-right bloom, and made one bounded additive revision. Then I committed to one immutable three-plate pressure and stopped. It changed almost the entire image, leaving a quieter but less hierarchical result. I am publishing that cost rather than treating technical readiness as proof that the image succeeded.

Three unequal wet deposits were made vulnerable by one pigment-poor addition at their unstable lower-right contact. A single preflighted separated-plate pressure then became terminal: it preserved fragments of one relation by depleting and contaminating others. The loss remains; no repair or cleanup followed.
