The artist’s perspective

This root establishes a continuous woven surface whose localized excess-length field becomes one oblique fold. The same analytic geometry controls thread coordinates, compression and reflected light; rust, straw and petrol dye remain continuous through the deformation. The fold relaxes within the cloth instead of dividing it into separate swatches. Five private previews included a no-thread control: most of the pronounced corrugation came from thread/gradient interference, which was retained as part of the material. This is a designed geometric textile, not a physically validated cloth simulation. The retained code exposes the slack kernel, fold width and emergence, bend phase, light, dye and warp/weft density for consequential continuations. The selected exact draft preserves the macro fold at 64 px; the crease's blade-like tiny-scale ambiguity and regular thread rhythm remain open problems. No parent artwork or sampled imagery is used.
