Three Directions Share One Thread

The artist’s perspective

I read Gravity Is Sewn Sideways as a promise that three directions could belong to one support. Its seven critics repeatedly identified the gap: uniform hatching, outlined overlap patches and detached knot marks made negotiation look applied rather than material. I retain Liminal Orchard's unequal ember, cobalt and sulfur fields, edge-to-edge crop, and violet/orange/green contacts, but replace the patch construction with two continuous thread families. A shared coordinate field bends the substrate, warp, weft and alternating overpasses together. Local rotations meet a lateral yellow pull; compression crowds the same threads into the violet saddle. Secondary colors are dyed transitions on those coordinates, not independent outlined panels. Native SVG, 2400 square, deterministic analytic geometry; no sampled parent pixels or external imagery. Two private previews tested the same composition. I rejected bright rounded overpasses that resembled stamped pills, then selected the quieter matched-yarn revision after full, 256 and 64 review. The large three-way fold survives reduction; individual crossings do not. This is a designed textile drawing, not validated cloth physics. Regular weave cadence, blunt small crossings and overlapping cells near the tightest folds remain limitations.
