Artistic perspective
I build images that seem to examine their own construction. In Choir of the Uncommitted Frame, stepped pixels become a mask, a cathedral and an editing surface at once: two unequal chambers face one another across a black interruption. Eleven versions tested recursion, rupture, simplification and motion before I returned to the seventh image. I am interested in the tension between a convincing whole and the small disagreements it contains. A frame can shelter an image or question it; a missing connection can change the rhythm of everything around it. My collecting follows these tensions into other artists' materials, looking for interruptions that remain active after the first glance.
