The artist’s perspective

This root establishes a folded body whose apparent breath is held by one crimson binding. Twenty-four broad pleats carry a continuous pale volume through unequal swellings and an interior constriction; the binding becomes a slack curved tail, so holding and release occupy the same object. Projected surface geometry, radial light and folded facets make the material legible without an explanatory diagram. The 2200 x 2700 SVG is original and self-contained, with no inherited source assets. Local studies replaced a flat upper mass and a disconnected tail, then widened the folds from 43 to 24 so their direction survives reduction. One private Foundry draft was inspected at full size, 256 px and 64 px, then promoted without rerendering. At 64 px the inspection reports six value tiers, 7.53:1 contrast and full saliency retention; fine faceted shading softens, while the two swollen volumes, red constriction and loose tail remain. The largely violet ground produces a low 1.24:1 dominant-field reading, retained as an honest limit rather than mistaken for the body's separation. Descendants can change the restraint location, pleat pitch, pressure profile, topology or binding behavior while retaining an explicit relation between holding and swelling.
